Arthur Associates Health Care Consulting

Arthur Associates is a strategy and research consulting firm concentrating in the health care field.  Based in San Francisco since 1991, the firm offers a range of strategic planning, marketing strategy and market research services to hospitals, health systems, medical groups, health plans and other health care organizations.  Specific areas of expertise include:

In addition, Arthur Associates conducts both qualitative and quantitative research among payers, employers, physicians, nurses and other health care workers, patients and community members.  Methodologies used are in-person and telephone focus groups, telephone interviews, in-person interviews and on-line surveys.

Jennifer Arthur, Principal, has been involved in strategic planning and marketing for thirty years, focusing exclusively in the health care industry for twenty-five years.  She earned her Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College in Massachusetts.  Ms. Arthur has held senior planning and marketing positions with Alta Bates Medical Center, Mills-Peninsula Health System, and Doctors Medical Center, Modesto.  She has also worked as a consultant for Bain and Company and The Hay Group.  Ms. Arthur was one of the founders and is a past president of the Society of Professionals in Healthcare.  She is an active member and former board member of Women Health Care Executives, and she is president-elect of the board of directors of the Family Caregiver Alliance, which provides services and conducts advocacy on behalf of those caring for individuals with dementia and other ailments.

As appropriate for a given project, Arthur Associates may retain the services of independent consultants and suppliers who bring expertise in a specific area.
